@Online on Zoom

Machine Learning 2024

In BASA's Machine Learning workshop, students from Grades 7+ will use Python to train machine learning models and they will also learn about the structures of neural networks. This workshop is designed to provide a solid foundation in the concepts of machine learning through teaching students machine learning techniques like supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning. It will also develop students' skills in data-pre-processing and fine-tuning models. Additionally, students will gain hands-on experience with popular machine learning algorithms and tools, implement and evaluate machine learning models using Python libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, and learn to assess model performance. We hope to see you there!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where does this camp take place?

This camp will be online on google meet!

Q: What kind of skills will my kids learn at the session?

By the end of this course, kids will learn the very basics of how a neural network works, and have experience using existing libraries such as TensorFlow and Pytorch to create models based on an existing blueprint.

Q: Is there a meeting for parents before the session?

No, there is no meeting for parents, however, parents are welcome to stay in the online Zoom meeting.

Q: Do my kids need to install anything before the session?

No, we'll be using Google Colab, which they will be able to code on without installing anything. If anything changes, we will be sure to email you.

Q: How many spots are available for the camp?

Since we are online, we are able to accommodate more, up to a limit of 25 spots for the camp.
